Ok the mod might delete this, I'm not sure if its against the rules. I have been a member of an internet book club for about six months. This book club is a great way to get rid of books you no longer want and to get books you would like to read. Its called paperbackswap.com All you have to do is post at least nine of your own books for other members to order. You will receive 3 credits for those nine books. After that whenever you mail a book you will receive a credit when the other member gets the book. It is free the only cost is shipping which on most paperbacks comes out to be about $1.50 to $2. They even have a wrapper you print to mail the book in with your address and the other members address. Ok here's the cool part for me whenever someone list you as a referral you get a free credit. My email address is mannythepoolshark@yahoo.com if you do this please list me as your referral.

Between today and yesterday I enjoyed Sabrina Jeffries' Royal Brotherhood series.
In the Prince's Bed
To Pleasure a Prince
One Night with a Prince

A complete giggle of a Regency Romp.

I did enjoy them, sometimes realism was stretched a bit but ah hell it's a series of fluff.

I just read a mini book by Jane Ann Krentz it was under another name that I can't remember but the last name was Castle. Anyway it was a good book about Puabi an immortal dark witch. her husband tries to kill her but she jumps off a cliff and washes up onto an island with a guy who just lost his wife. They do the usual romance novel thing and scrump on like the third day after they meet then they have to defeat another dark witch.

If this isn't allowed, sorry feel free to delete.
So, I'm looking for a specific book. I read it years and years ago, but something made me think of it recently and I would like to see if I can find it again and read it. The problem is that I don't remember the name of it, the author, the names of the characters, anything. So, I'm going to describe the plot, which amazingly, I do remember, and hope that someone can help me.  Please help, if you can.
Please!

Cause I'm a sad Mercedes Lackey fangirl, and because I'm looking for some paranormal romances, I've been thinking about subscribing to Harlequin's Luna imprint, but reading some of the blurbs they seem to be a hit and miss. Any other worthwhile paranormal romances going around? I'd kinda like a little more paranormal and a little less Vampire - although Sherrlyn Kenyon is not bad 8)

I’ve read Goddess of the Sea by P. C. Cast. I loved the book. After her plane crashes into the sea, an Air Force Sergeant finds herself occupying the body of the mythic mermaid Undine-and falling for a sexy merman. So now I’ve got to ask are there any more romance books out that have mermaids?

OK I just bought a new book and from the sound of it its gonna be good. It is How To Marry a Millionare Vampire by Kerrelyn Sparks. Heres the Blurb:

Nobody said love was perfect...
Roman Draganesti is charming, handsome, rich... he's also a vampire. But this vampire just lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lop-sided eater for all eternity.

Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan, either. After witnessing a gruesome murder, she's next on the mobs hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Romans fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman using his fangs on her...?

Has anybody ever read pride and prejudice(pnp) sequels? there are two that sound really good. Mr. Darcy takes and Wife by Linda Berdoll, and Pemberly Shades by D. A. Bonavia-Hunt, Dorothy Hunt. has anybody read them? pnp was so godo i dont want to ruin the origanal but i want to know what other authors think happened.

im finishing this book by Lindsay mckenna called Morgan's Mercenaries: In the Beginning. its a 3 in 1 book. theres not a whole lot of action. pretty much theres like 1 sceane per story. so if ur looking for light romance theres is a good book. id write what is on the back( or inside cover in this case) but there is just too much and i dont want to write a long entry. hehe

But when Quinn decides to change her life by adopting a stray dog over everyones objections, everything begins to spiral out of control. Now she's coping with dog-napping, breaking and entering, seduction, sabotage, stalking, more secrets than she really wants to know, and two men who are suddenly cray..... for her.

I just finished the newest book in Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark-Hunter series. The main character was a woman this time and it also had a short story that tells of the begining of the Dark-Hunters. The book was good but I still like Dance With the Devil better Zareks story was the best of the series so far, I actually cried while reading it.

I finished the book The Remarkable Miss Frankenstein while I was in bed sick yesterday it was great. It's full of references to pop culture icons like The Wizard of Oz and Sherlock Holmes. I had to put the book down every so often to laugh uncontrollably and the ending was sweet. I won't give anything away but its predictable in an unpredictable way.

I got a new book called The Remarkable Miss Frankenstien by Minda Webber this is the blurb:
The problem, Clair realized, was that she was a Franenstien. Her uncle's fame- he'd created her cousin Frederick from a bunch of spare parts- was a grave matter. Everyone in the family was a success, while all she'd managed was a humiliating misadventure with pigs. But her spirits were rising. The Journal of Scientific Discovery was promising to publish a paper on the Discovery of the Decade, , and she had a doozy. She simply had to prove Baron Huntsley- man of distinction, man of renown, man about town- was a vampire. With his midnight hair, soul-piercing eyes and shiny white teeth, what else could he be? Oh yes, the Baron wanted a bite of her or she was no scientist. And then there were all those other monsters. You'd never expect so many in 1828 London! Pretty soon she'd expose them all, and on everybody's lips would be... The Remarkable Miss Frankenstien.

Hi this is my first post to this community. I just finished reading a double novel by Rosemary Lowrey called Kiss Me Forever/Love Me Forever. It was great over six hundred pages, kept me occupied for a couple of days. I really enjoy the Sookie Stackhouse series and both of Laurell K. Hamiltons series I am also a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark Hunter series. Lori Handeland is another good one. Anyway I am hoping that this community is a little better than the other book discussion I joined.

Jul. 25th, 2005 @ 10:47 am Book Reviews - Laurell K. Hamilton, Christine Feehan, Glenna Mcreynolds
In the Mood: chipperchipper
Seduced by Moonlight - Laurell K. Hamilton

(I know this isn't typical Romance, but I can't really classify it anywhere else at the moment....so here it is.)

Third in the Merry Gentry series, Seduced by Moonlight qualifies admirably as elven soft-core porn with a plot. Now, don't let that put you off. It's a rather enjoyable read and even has a mostly ok storyline. :) Personally, I keep hoping for a return of Sholto and he's getting closer and closer. Though not nearly as close as would be nice. *le sigh* However, there's enough varied beefcake in this to keep most people happy.

Dark Gold - Christine Feehan

One of the less harrowing of the Carpathian Dark Series, Dark Gold does have its moments. Again, we see a sister trying to take care of her much younger brother, snared by a true vampire and saved by a Carpathian. Aidan rescuse Alexandria and her brother and in so doing ties her to him permanently. The resulting chaos that Alex creates as she comes to grips with her newfound life is sometimes amusing and sometimes heartbreaking. I'd call it another winner, though less intense than some I've read lately.

Dark Magic - Christine Feehan

Savannah, the world-famous magician, due partly to her abilities as a Carpathian, and Gregori, the most feared hunter of the Carpathians on the edge of turning, duke it out in this installment of the Dark Series. Honestly, I'm not sure whether I prefer the Carpathian/Carpathian matches or the Human/Carpathian ones. Nearly all of the human ones are women. Just once I'd like to see a human male have to convert over. But then, I don't think they'd be able to survive so well in Carpathian society. Dark Magic is full of the brooding shadows that we've come to know and love. Gregori is, however, closer to turning than any of the previous Carpathians. He's also the oldest...and somewhat overwhelming, shall we say. There is a menace in him that Feehan's left out of some of her previous novels that I find a nice addition.

Dark Challenge - Christine Feehan

This book in the Dark Challenge series introduce Julian and Desari...both with a penchant for shape shifting into leopards over the more "traditional" wolf motif. Desari and her "family" have been hiding out for hundreds of years and think they are the only Carpathians in existance. They've spent their lives hunting vampires and performing to pay for their way. Desari, the lead of the troupe, has an ethereal voice that draws Julian into their world as they stay one step ahead of the vampires following her.

Dark Secret - Christine Feehan

This is, quite likely, one of my favorites of the Dark series. I loved Dark Magic's Gregori because he *was* so dominant. (Ok...so it rubbed some nice places for me.) Rafael de la Cruz is quite likely her second most dominant character she's written (or that I've read so far). The nice part about this is that the character is from Brazil...or has lived there long enough that he's lost a lot of the Carpathian/Dracula atmosphere and adopted an entirely different way of interacting. New flavors! Colby, the heroine, is trying to save her ranch from a rapacious neighbor trying to get it away from her and keep her brother and sister from being taken by the de la Cruz family to be raised. This book also incorporates a couple of very nice elements of horror in with the romance itself and gives the book a completely different tone than some of the others. Another very good read.

Touch of a Wolf - Susan Krinard

I thought I'd get tired of the world of werewolves that Krinard spins, but it hasn't happened yet. This time Braden and Cassidy are the love-lorn pair, one the Earl of Greyburn the other an orphan raised by humans who hate her wolf blood. Of course, nothing is simple and Braden betroths her to his brother rather than himself in an iron clad sense of duty. Somehow, though, love shall overcome. It's only a matter of how.

Prince of Time - Glenna Mcreynolds

The Prince of Time is an odd little blend of science fiction, fantasy, and romance. I wasn't too sure that I was going to be able to buy into it, but it seems to work out nicely. Morgan is a Welsh Prince stranded in the future who adapts to his new life by becoming a tech-theif/mercenary. Avallyn is a desert born princess-priestess straight out of a fantasy novel, elf ears and all. As odd at is may sound, they make the grand fantasy and their romance weave together into something quite readable, even if I wouldn't call it earth shattering. Definitely a good read when you need to take your mind off of other things.
